Final Fantasy X
For one thousand years, Spira has been ravaged by a legendary and deathly creature called Sin, who punishes all that go against the Teachings of Yevon.
The only way to free Spira and give it peace before Sin is reborn is to send summoners who wield powerful aeons and guardians to Zanarkand to attain the final aeon and (hopefully) rid Spira of Sin for good.

Mizuki didn’t know how the hell a Behemoth had gotten onto the Djose Highroad, heck, she hadn’t even believed the person at the Djose temple who had asked her to kill it when they told her about it in the first place. But they insisted that it was there, and she had reckoned that if she was going to get paid, she might as well go check it out. And now she was here, facing the massive creature just outside the forest to the moonflow. It really hadn’t been that hard to find it, and now she knew why people had been avoiding this road.
The fiend was on all fours, but when it spotted her it slowly turned to face her and stood up on its back legs, making it seem even bigger than before. Mizuki tried not to flinch under the monster’s intense gaze; usually she wasn’t afraid of any fiends, but when you were facing something this huge and powerful, it was a little hard not to be even a tad apprehensive. But Mizuki pushed those thoughts into the back of her head and concentrated on the task at hand. She slowly pulled her great sword out of its sheath on her back, carefully watching the Behemoth’s movements at the same time.
Holding her sword out in front of her, she narrowed her eyebrows, and then suddenly shouted “Katsu!” The white wolf which had been crouched near her ankles growling softly suddenly sprang forwards, right towards the fiend. The behemoth’s gaze was drawn towards the wolf as it quickly dodged between the fiends legs. With the enemy startled, Mizuki quickly ran forwards and slashed at the behemoths arm. The fiend roared in pain, it’s attention now drawn back to Mizuki, but she had already ducked between the monster’s legs and now brought a wide two handed swing of her sword down onto the behemoth’s back.
As the creature roared again and turned, Mizuki was about the move again, but the behemoths arm came swinging around and caught her first, its large sharp claws ripping at her skin before she was flung away into the bushes. Lying there for a moment, she cringed and groaned in pain. Katsu saw what happened and quickly leapt at the behemoths face, trying to claw at its eyes, but the fiend just knocked him away as well.
But then the behemoth’s eyes widened as metal and blood suddenly burst forth through its chest. Mizuki stood behind it, holding the hilt of her sword which had just impaled the beast. She twisted the blade inside the flesh and then quickly wrenched it out, dark blood spurting everywhere, so now she had two bloods on her, her own and the beasts. The behemoth staggered around, flailing a bit, before it suddenly roared at the sky. Then it fell straight forward onto the ground, and burst into hundreds of pyreflies.
By now Mizuki was already on the move, running as fast as she could, since she knew what would be coming from that roar. She called for Katsu, and then quickly lunged into the cover of the forest just before flaming boulders began raining from the sky where the battle had been. When the death shower had ended Mizuki breathed a sigh of relief, and the collapsed onto her knees, clutching her side and breathing heavily. After a moment, she started fumbling around in the small bag attached to the back of her belt, until she brought out a small vile of green liquid. She pulled out the stopper and quickly gulped the potion down, wiping the back of her hand over her mouth when she was done, and then storing the empty vile back in the bag.
She then turned to Katsu, who was quietly sitting by her side, watched her. She hastily looked him over, and to her relief, found no injuries; the behemoth had obviously not used its claws when knocking the wolf away. Then she slowly got to her feet, a bit shakily, and looked over at where the behemoth had been. She walked out of the forest towards that place, but then suddenly staggered, her head spinning. She had lost quite a bit of blood. She decided that she should probably find somewhere to rest first, before returning to collect her prize. She knew that the moonflow was just up ahead, and no fiends seemed to hang around there, so she started off in that direction.
Reaching the waters edge, Mizuki slowly lowered herself down onto the grassy back, until she was sitting. One hand holding her stomach, and the other place on the ground, holding her up, she looked out across the clam water, dotted with lily pads another other marine plants. The sun was juts setting, and the water was starting to glow slightly orange in the changing rays. The hundreds of pyreflies that flittered across the water started to multiply, swirling around each other as if in a dance. Mizuki smiled, and then reached up a hand to stroke Katsu, who was sitting next to her, also looking out at the natural wonder with his dark eyes.
Then suddenly Mizuki started falling backwards, her eyes closing as she did so. Now sprawled across the ground, she was unconscious from blood loss; the wound that the behemoth's claws had made was quite deep, and that one potion wasn't really enough to heal it quick enough. Katsu whined, stood up and then pressed his muzzle against his friend soft cheek. But all Mizuki did was continue to breath slowly in and out, as fresh blood trickled out of her wounds and dripped onto the grass.

It was another day on the job and like always, Nino sat on the back of the carriage while it wheeled along the road toward the Moonflow. There was rumours of a rampaging Behemoth near the Djose Highroad. The majority of the crew weere cowardly and thus, stayed put safely in Djose Temple for fifteen minutes after the scheduled time for departure. That means they were running an unnecessary fifteen minutes late. The crew inhaled their cigarettes nervously and forced the harnessed chocobos to pull the carriages at a faster speed.
Nino didn't partake in this unsettled circus. Like usual, he simply leaned against the mound of packaged goods and watched the sun, chasing them and peeking through the branches of the surrounding forest. And like always, merely daydreaming. They were approaching closer toward the Moonflow as he saw a few pyreflies painting the sky arching above. But he snapped out of the reverie when a shout rang in his ears.
"Rymd! E cbud y puto hayn dra myga, drana!" one of the men shouted and some of the men approached. But they realized the creature near the body and hesitated themselves. "Famm, ed muugc mega y fusyh, y bnaddo kuut-muugehk uha." one of the men remarked and some couldn't help but to snicker. Being out of Bikanel Island and purely focusing on work, they could only examine passing females occasionally. Unless you were not interested in women, of course. Which many thought Nino wasn't. Yet, they couldn't tackle their fantasy dreams due to the wolf near the unconcious body.
"Cruud ed!" one of the Al-Bheds suggested.
"Fyed, tuh'd! Ev hu uha ec kuehk du ybbnuylr du ed, drah zicd mayja dra puto yht gaab kuehk." an elderly man said and the majority agreed, thus democracy ruled. The carriages were pulled once more and they simply ignored the unconcious female. Nino gazed at the body, the carriage was being pulled futher and futher. Guilt overwhelmed him and tugged at his heart, he was human afterall. Well, half human.
"Eh, Nino? Frana dra ramm ec ra?"
Nino hastily slipped off the carriage and returned to the location. He walked casually, trying to appear friendly and not threatening. Yet, his tall height could possibly be intimidating. Though his handguns were already latched at his sides, he showed his empty palms to confirm to the furred creature that he wasn't going to hurt anybody. Or atleast he was trying to accomplish something to that point. He continued to approached to the body, but more steadily and slowly as he came closer and closer.

Katsu’s ears flickered when he heard the carriage approaching, and so he took up a defensive stance next to Mizuki, front legs spread slightly apart and head lowered, eyes focused on the moving wooden structure and the people aboard it. His muscles had tensed up when the carriage had stopped and the people started talking, and he growled softly, his black lips pulled back in a small snarl that bared some of his white pointed teeth. When the carriage started moving on he relaxed a little, though still kept his dark eyes focused on what he though might be a threat to his unconscious companion.
Katsu was about to turn back to look at Mizuki when he noticed a singular figure get off the carriage and start walking towards him. His figure stiffened up again as he watched the person approach. However, when this person showed his empty palms to Katsu, the wolf didn’t know what to make of him. He could still be a threat to Mizuki, but he hadn’t made any move to hurt her yet, and he seemed harmless; Katsu didn’t really feel as though this guy had bad intentions. So though he relaxed his posture a bit, and stopped growling, he was still on his guard.
As the figure drew even nearer, Katsu started trotting up towards him slowly, keeping and eye on the human’s hands. When he reached the man he pressed his nose up against the man’s leg and sniffed quickly, before withdrawing slightly. Then his ears twitched again, and he looked back over a Mizuki, who had moaned softly and rolled over onto her side. Katsu took another quick glance at the stranger, before going back over to Mizuki. He sat down behind her and licked her cheek gently, before looking back over at Nino.
Mizuki opened her eyes a little and looked forward, towards Nino. She blinked a few times before moaning again, and then placed one of her hands on the ground beside her head and then pushing on it, trying to lift herself up. But her arm shook, and then gave out, causing her to fall back down again. She closed her eyes again, now breathing more heavily. Katsu whined loudly and nudged her shoulder with his nose in distress. Then he looked back over a Nino with something that could have been thought of as a pleading look.

Nino paused for a moment when the wolf began to examine him, sniffing his legs. His eyes widened when the young woman was slightly brought back to life until she thudded back onto the dirt ground and returned to a rather lifeless state. As the stranger's companion gave a pleading look, Nino hastily approached to the fallen female, placing one knee on the ground and examining her before slowly lifting her upper body.
Nino caught a strong stench of blood and removed his hand from her side, fresh blood printed on his palm. The man examined the location where the blood was seeping from. He was rather shocked at the sight of the wound, flesh cut open from what it seemed to be from claws. Most likely from a nasty fiend, that rumoured Behemoth? Though the wound was fresh, it was rather deep. The female stranger lost blood at an rapid pace and thus collapsed. Unfortunately Nino didn't have any potions on him, a rather unwise thing. And he didn't know any white magic to benefit in healing the wound.
"She could have some potions herself," Nino muttered to himself, but he slightly shuddered at the idea. Poking around her body for any healing items wasn't a good idea or well-mannered. Thus his only choice was to carry her toward the nearest shop in the Southern bank. The half-bred steadily lifted her off the ground and placed the woman on one of his shoulder. He glanced over at the wolf, he seemed intelligent enough to understand him.
"I'm going to bring her somewhere safe," he assured the creature, hoping it could decipher what he is saying. "Follow me." he added, heading left. Despite being a long-ranged fighter and possessing long limbs, he was well-postured and he had the speed of Mercury. Yet, he went slower to prevent the body from jangling about. Passersby gave awkward glances as the man hastily ran passed them, carrying an unconcious, bleeding woman. He finally came to a store, obscured by a tent and placed the body on the carpet. He gestured toward the hypello, who hastily wobbled toward the lifeless female. "She's injured and I don't have any potions," Nino began, panting slightly. "Do you possibly know anyone who does white magic or do you have potions in stock?" he added. The hypello slowly blinked at Nino for a moment for finally answering. "Yesh, ish have poshons." he answered and wobbled toward the shelves of supplies. As the hypello continued to look for options, Nino gazed at the wounded stranger, hoping she would returned to conscious. He looked at the fabric of his clothes, stained with her blood. It was rather strange feeling, though he felt relieved that he at least took action.

Katsu watched the person looking Mizuki over cautiously, still not trusting him completely, but not really having any other choice. He didn’t quite understand why Mizuki wasn’t responding, but he sensed something was wrong, and needed someone to help. When he saw Nino examining the wound on Mizuki’s side the white wolf lowered his nose towards the area and sniffed carefully at the still flowing human blood, which was mixed in with a small amount of the behemoth blood. And though Katsu stepped back a bit when the human lifted up his friend, he still bared his teeth again at Nino, as a sort of warning against the stranger hurting Mizuki in any way. However, he didn’t try to interfere in Nino’s actions in anyway, though he was ready too if he thought Mizuki was in danger.
And even though Katsu was quite intelligent, of course he couldn’t understand what the stranger was telling him, only realized that he was trying to communicate with him. But when the human started running off with Mizuki on his shoulder Katsu followed anyway, not going to leave his injured companion alone with someone he didn’t completely trust. He stayed just behind Nino the whole distance, eyes kept on what he could see of Mizuki. He trailed Nino into the tent when they reached it, slowing down and then softly padding into the shade, before sitting down next to Mizuki when Nino had placed her on the ground again.
Katsu was just watching his unconscious friend lazily, until she groaned again, making him snap to attention and his ears perk up. Mizuki opened her eyes slowly again, squinting them as she tried to adjust them to the kind of light inside of the tent. She blinked rapidly, and then looked up at Katsu, and then the stranger that was watching over her. Suddenly she seemed very alert, staring up at Nino with wide brown eyes, though most of the rest of her expression remained the same. Katsu lowered his head and gave her a gentle nudge on the side again. This seemed to snap her out of her staring trance, her face now turning to a cringe of pain. “Ur… I…” she choked out, between heavy breathing, one of her hands moving slowly over to her wound, where the blood flow was starting too slow down.

Nino eyes widened when the female stranger began to show signs of consciousness, feeling quite relieved when she stirred slightly and opened her eyes. But when she showed a countenance of pain, he approached to the woman and lowered onto one knee. The hypello finally wobbled back, handing over a vial of potion, a roll of bandages and a clean piece of cloth. The half-bred quietly thanked him and placed the things on the side, except the cloth.
The man glanced over at the stranger's deep wound and he felt slightly eased when he realized it wasn't as severe as it was previously. He slowly placed the cloth on the wound, pressing slightly firmly to stop the flow further but cautious enough not to press to hard to conjure more pain.
"Miss, can you hear or see me?" Nino asked softly and waved his free hand above her eyes, making sure if she was truly conscious enough to consume the potion.

When she had felt the wetness of fresh blood covering her wound, Mizuki had sat up slightly so she could look at it for herself. But she had been too busy looking at her injury to notice the young man approaching her again. However, as soon as he placed the cloth down over the gash and pushed down on it gently Mizuki’s head jerked up in his direction again, her expression still slightly surprised. Then she quickly tried to scramble away from him, pushing her body backwards with her hands pushing on the tent floor.
But this movement caused the ripped muscle in her wound to stretch, and she immediately cringed in pain, lowering her body back down slowly, so now she was sort of propped up against the wall of the tent. After taking another glance at her wound, she looked back up at the stranger who had tried to help her, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
“Who are you?” she asked directly with a small frown. She was a bit confused and disorientated, and her natural instinct to not trust anyone was taking over, so even though the man had been trying to help her, she hadn’t really realized that is what he was doing. “What do you want?” she looked around herself a bit, trying to figure out where she was, before resting her eyes once again on him.

Perhaps that was a 'yes'. She was obviously vigilant and conscious, trying to steer herself away from him. And cautious as well. Nino nervously bit his bottom lip, unsure how to treat the wound without improperly bursting the female's personal bubble and violating her privacy. The young man slightly shifted himself away from the girl, placing the dirty, damp cloth on the ground. He was slightly taken aback by all the sudden questions being flung at him in lighting speed. Might as well give a brief explanation, to clear things up.
"I...found you unconcious not too long ago near the banks of the nearby river," he began, then gesturing toward the wound. "The wound was rather deep and you were bleeding heavily, so I brought you here to get it treated." he added. He wasn't the best at explaining, but it was short and sweet enough. "My apologies, i'm Nino Settyo," the half-bred greeted himself in a rather disoriented manner, running a clean hand through his hair self-consciously.
