Final Fantasy X
For one thousand years, Spira has been ravaged by a legendary and deathly creature called Sin, who punishes all that go against the Teachings of Yevon.
The only way to free Spira and give it peace before Sin is reborn is to send summoners who wield powerful aeons and guardians to Zanarkand to attain the final aeon and (hopefully) rid Spira of Sin for good.

((I'm playing this like Operation Mi'ihen hasn't happened yet. Is that okay?))
With the last of the lush vegetation of the Highroad behind them, Stella heaved a sigh and propped herself up against a rock. That had been a long walk and her feet ached. She really wished that she had rented a chocobo. She looked at Thu and blushed a bit. "Sorry. I'm not used to all this walking just yet." She giggled lightly and pushed herself up so they could continue.
Her stomach rumbled lightly and she blushed again. "I suppose I should have eaten breakfast before I left." Her hand went into a pouch on her belt and she fished out an apple. She held it out to Thu and smiled at him. "Would you like an apple?"
With her own apple in hand, Stella munched happily on it and continued walking down the weather worn path. People were scurrying about and Stella watched the goings on curiously. Just what were they up to? Some she thought were Al Bhed, considering the goggles they wore to conceal their eyes. Others were Crusaders, a few she even recognized from Luca. What was going on? The Yevonites didn't comingle with Al Bhed. Had something happend to change this?
Stella wasn't sure but she thought it was strange. Very very strange.

((Yeah, its all gravy.))
Thu's feet ached madly and with the last of the pretty scenery replaced with rock and rock and sandy path, Thufir was slightly dubbed with regret about travelling this far. But then all these people who were bustling around seemed not to attract the attention of fiends. Safety in numbers?
The man sat down with his back on the rock on which Stella was lent on. "I don't think any amount of walking could've prepared us for that. We definitely could of used a Chocobo back there." He said, closing his eyes and putting his head back. Opening his eyes to be greeted with an apple, Thufir smiled welcomingly and took the apple. "Thanks, but I think we could do with a meal in a bit. Maybe we could get something from these people?" Thu' suggested, pointing to the crusaders and mysteriously al bhed looking people. Weren't Al bhed and crusaders...hostile with each other?
Thu' took a sizable bite out of the apple and pondered the thought more. Spira was such a mixed place. "How far to the temple is it from here?" Thufir asked, wondering slightly about the Guardian proposal...it certainly crept back into his mind when he wasn't doing much.

The cold jagged rocks of the Mushroom Rock Road, was in no way a nice place to most people, but to Ryan it reminded him somewhat of his home on Mt. Gagazet.
As he walked he thought to himself, "I sort of miss my home . . .but I have to know just where did I come from?" His thoughts where interupted as a crusader bumped into him, then proceded to yell "Damn it watch where your going!" As he pushed Ryan. Ryan who was ever easy, and quick to anger, imediatly tackled the man to the ground. Ryan began to repetedly punch the crusader in the face. Ryan's fist colided with the his face, at least 4 times, before another crusader stepped in. The man tackled Ryan off of his friend, and then they proceded to roll several times before coming to a stop. The two rolled around trying to gain the upperhand for several minutes before, one of the higher ups yelled "what are you doing?!?! Get back to work.!.!" The man quickly gave up the fight, and jumped to his feet. Before, scurrying away like the rat he was.
From Ryan's expression it was easy to tell that he was still fuming with anger. The higher ranking man walked up to Ryan, and as Ryan was wiping the dirt and dust off said "My sincerest appologies, my men are a little on edge." Then Ryan said in a rather biting, and sarcastic tone "Yeah, your sorry that means alot." as he started walking away.

((I'll be plopping Kiara in here soon, cause seriously, Stella needs a girl around))
“Well, we have to cross Mushroom Rock and then the Djose Highroad. It splits up ahead. One road goes to the Moonflow and the other to the temple. It will be a few hours yet before we reach the temple. Especially if fiends are out.” Stella finished her apple and threw the core to the side. The thought of reaching the next temple crossed her mind and for a moment, Stella looked a little worried. She had no idea how the Yevonites were going to treat her. She glanced at a passing Al Bhed and wondered if she should invest in a set of goggles to conceal her eyes.
“The temple usually provides meals for the summoners. Though in my case, I highly doubt that will happen.” Stella continued walking at a steady pace, her hands clasped behind her back. “Before we cross the Moonflow, we will have to go back to Luca and catch a boat to Besaid. It is a little out of the way, but I have not prayed at the temple there.” Stella looked at Thu and smiled at him, “I have never been to Besaid, so I think it will be a nice experience.”
Hearing some sort of commotion, Stella casted her blonde head in the direction of the source of the noise. Two men fought and thrashed about on the ground and Stella stopped mid stride to watch. When the fight ended and one of the strangers began walking away, the summoner released the breath she did not realize she was holding.
Without much warning, she took off after the stranger and gently grasped his arm. “Are you all right?”

((Yeah, a girl is needed since there'll be another lad coming. Eeek.))
Thufir listened intently to Stella's plan of the journey, while blissfully watching the fight unfold. It was amusing how he found such pleasure in watching two men fight it out. Especially when he had no need to intervene or no idea of who they were. He took another sizable chunk out of his apple, and crunched it with satisfaction. "Besaid. Its.." Thu' racked his brains for the feelings he usually relied on these days. He had been to Besaid in the past, and immediately he felt the calming feeling and homely nature of it in his stomach. The type of place you would love to retire to..if you ever got to that point. "Besaid is a lovely place. Certainly somewhere worth the travel." He explained, smiling to her. Not that he remembered much of it, if not any.
As Stella took off to speak with one of the fighters, Thufir stayed put for a few seconds, before pulling himself to his feet with a groan of pain, and a clutch of his hip. Best follow on just for curiousity's sake Thu stood behind Stella, munching on his apple and intently staring at Ryan with his one eye. Was he a crusader?

The anger he felt just seemed like it radiated off of him. The adrenaline flow caused his muscles to tighten, they where tensed. Then without warning, it seemed like there was a calming aura as a girl, gently grabbed hold of his arm.
The blonde, asked “Are you all right?” as Ryan turned to see her. Somehow all the anger, he felt from earlier seemed to fade away as he stared into the girls eyes. In his life he had never seen anything like them. They where a beautiful green, but with a swirl about them, which only added to the beauty they held. He remained silently mesmerized by this girl's eyes
(OOC: I guess that could be taken the wrong way by an al bhed, but he's never seen eyes like her's lol.)

Stella's hand dropped from the stranger's arm when he turned around to look at her. His muscles were tense and the summoner was unsure whether or not he would actually lash out at her. She glanced back at Thu and hoped he would remain close by. Even if he wasn't officially her guardian, it made her feel better knowing he was there.
And yet he did not move. He simply stood there, staring at her. Stella cast her gaze to the ground and looked between a particularly interesting dirt clod and a not so interesting rock. Her mouth suddenly felt dry and she wondered if she had made possibly offended this person. "I-I'm sorry. I know most people do not like Al Bhed. But I...I thought perhaps..." her voice trailed of and she gently nudged the ground with the toe of her boot.
Her fists were clasped closed and she ran her thumbs over her fingers. "If you are injured, I have a few Al Bhed potions that'll cure you right up." She forced a bright smile as she reached into one of the many pockets on her belt. "I'm Stella by the way."

Thu' stood by, eating the last of his apple, and planning on eating the core - just for the sake of it - He kept staring intently at the man however, and smiled slightly as he started to...fall in love with Stella? Suddenly Thufir hoped he'd jumped the gun, because if she tagged him along like she had with him, then this journey would get a bit....interesting? Maybe his previous self had been more tolerant of others, or kinder at heart. This new Thufir was very mixed when it came to emotion. Nevertheless, just in case something happened, he tugged at the edge of his sleeve, and let the small knife touch his palm. He knew he wouldn't need to use it of course. But then again it didn't have to be used on this particular crusader.
Were these guardian characteristics? Thu' had just prepared himself with a weapon, while serenely eating an apple, and yet if he were alone he probobly would have just - well, he wouldn't have stopped to help this bastard, that was for sure. Still. The signs were starting to give him second thoughts. Stella needed a guardian...perhaps an amnesiac, bard was someone who you needed around? .... Well a crusader was better for the job that was for sure. If no one else will do it. Maybe I'll be Stella's guardian. But for now, I'll just take her to the temple and then be done with it. I've got more important things to do than bring about some..calm thing

Ryan failed to even notice the girl's follower, as he stood behind her. She dropped her gaze down to the ground as she said I-I'm sorry. I know most people do not like Al Bhed. But I...I thought perhaps..." After the words left her mouth a thought ran through Ryan's mind "Al Bhed? whats an Al Bhed?" "If you are injured, I have a few Al Bhed potions that'll cure you right up......I'm Stella by the way."
Ryan hadn't even noticed that he had a few small cuts on his arms from the jagged rocks of the road. As he said "no don't worry about me I'm fine....I'm Ryan"
It seemed as if every single trace of anger he had felt subsided.

Stella relaxed a bit when the stranger told her his name. "Ryan," she echoed. She suddenly didn't feel so awkward and while she wasn't entirely sure why this person was staring at her, she didn't feel so ill at ease.
She had already fished out an Al Bhed potion by the time Ryan responded and she looked at the knicks on his arms. "Oh. Well here, take it anyway. I mean you never know what could happen, you know?" she said with a warm smile.
Stella took Ryan's hand and pressed the small container into his palm. "Oh by the way, this is Thu. We're on our way to the temple." She laughed a little to make the situation light hearted before turning around and walking back over to Thufir. "If you're ready, I am."
Waving to Ryan, Stella called out, "It was nice meeting you."

((I was gonna wait for Thu to post, but I guess we can just finish this thread off if thats ok. . . . .Then I may jump into the thread at the temple.))
The girl said "Oh. Well here, take it anyway. I mean you never know what could happen, you know?" as she grabbed Ryan's hand, and put small bottle in it. Ryan gave a slight nod of agreement, Then the girl said "Oh by the way, this is Thu. We're on our way to the temple." as she made her way over beside the man, that Ryan had failed to notice until just then. As she left, she yelled back "It was nice meeting you." with a wave, and the two walked away.
After they had both disapeared down the path, Ryan put the bottle in a small bag that he carried. Being raised by Rhonso, he had learned how to survive with very few supplies. Then as he noted the cuts and scrapes he had recieved from his 'fight' if it could even really be called a fight, he cast a simple cure spell, and watched as the scratches disappeared, and in thier place new skin appeared.
